Guess Who Lost His First Tooth!!

So, Aiden is taking this whole growing up thing WAY too seriously! He went and lost his first tooth tonight! He is over the moon...he has been waiting and waiting to lose a tooth. Fortunately MeMe was here to pull it out (I could have done it, but I'm really glad I didn't have to!) I had already put him to bed and he came in the living room and said "I think my tooth is ready to come out...somebody try and pull it!" MeMe gave it one tug with a kleenex and it fell right out! He's so excited for the tooth fairy to come I don't know if he'll be able to sleep! I still remember like it was yesterday holding him in my arms and he was bald and toothless! How is it that 6 1/2 years can fly by so fast?? Here he is with a hole in his head...I wonder how long it's going to take to get used to looking at him like this!!!

8 Reasons why I Love my Patrick

So, in honor of our 8 year anniversary I thought I'd list the top 8 reasons why I love my Hubby! It's been 3 (or more) years since we've actually celebrated our anniversary together, but he's been home for birthday's and all the big holiday's, so I am NOT complaining!

8. He's a fighter pilot! My dream was to marry a fighter pilot (thank you Top Gun)and the fact that I got such a hotty does not hurt at all! But seriously he serves his country with great pride and because of him our babies and grand babies will get to live in the "Land of the Free."
7. He can do math! I know that sounds so silly, but a mathematician I am not and I can not tell you how nice it is to be able to say "How much is 30% off of...?" and most of the time he believes me when I say "Well, I had to buy it because it was such a good deal!"
6. He's Funny! Truly, truly funny. Everybody who's reading this going "He's so quiet!" No, he's not...and with that I'll go into the next one...
5. He talks to me about everything all the time. I love that and I appreciate it so much. I know this will be hard for most of you to believe, but sometimes I can not get a word in!
4. He sings a lot. He makes up songs as he goes. It's really sweet. If he's giving the kid's a bath he's probably singing about it and because of that Aiden and Laina Paige do the exact same thing...they're pretty much always happy just like him!
3. He has a great smile and laugh and he does both often...that's happiness!
2. He hugs me all the time. He says I'm most huggable when I'm busy. Sometimes I complain because I want to "finish what I'm doing", but I do truly love that after 8 years of marriage and 10 years together I'm still huggable. My favorite hugs are when he comes up behind me and puts him arms around me (I've missed those this summer)!
1. He loves us plain and simple. There is never any doubt in my mind that the kid's and I are his greatest treasure. He shows us that everyday and I hope we do the same for him!
I truly am the luckiest girl in the world. I married my best friend. There is nobody else that I would want with my in this adventure that we're on. I thank God everyday for bringing us together 10 years ago in Hotlanta!
Love you BTTW, honey! Miss you! Thanks for the best 8 years of my life...can't wait to see what the next 92 have in store!

That was then!

This is now...life is GOOD!

A Valid Question!

For those of you who don't know we will be delivering this baby in Korea at the Army base up in Seoul. I had my other 2 kiddo's on Army base's, so this is 'normal' for us. As this is our last one I never will get to deliver with the Air Force and I've heard good things...oh well. So, Aiden and I were talking about when the baby comes and he asked me "Mom is the baby going to be American or Korean?" We laughed and then explained to him that because Mom and Dad are Americans the baby will be American, also! Love that kid!

Lots of Stuff, but mostly We're Pregnant!!

I CAN'T believe that we haven't posted a blog saying that we're pregnant! I guess after you put it on facebook you consider it told. If you don't know...we're pregnant and the due date it 10 Dec 2010! We're all VERY excited! We found out a few days ago that it's a boy and we're naming him Hudson John Smiley. Aiden, Patrick and I were over the moon. However, his big sister had a different reaction. She got very upset, started to cry and tried to "abracadabra" my belly into a girl. Patrick told her "We'll know in 5 months if you have magic powers or not." It was pretty funny. I happy to report that she is now excited about having another brother after we told her that she won't have to share her toys and she'll always be the most spoiled because she's the only girl. So, now about 3+ times a day she comes up and rubs my belly and says "I love you, baby Hudson." Here is a shot of our 3rd precious baby! We've had a good and busy summer so far. We were supposed to have headed home on 28 June, but then we found out Patrick had to go to Alaska, so we decided to extend our trip over here until 18 Aug. We just sent Patrick back to Korea on Saturday and we sure are going to miss him, but we've got lots of fun stuff planned to help the next few weeks go by quick. We got to see him a few times between May 1 and this Saturday, but now is the dry spell. When he left on Friday morning he asked Elaina if she was going to miss him and she replied "Yea, I'm going to miss you and I also miss my footie pajamas!"

The kid's have done one 2 week round of swimming lessons and they start another round tomorrow. They are doing great! We're really impressed. We also went to a wedding shower for my brother, Greer and his fiance and had a great time there. Here we are with my twin brothers, Greer and Clay, and their fiance/girlfriend, Mel and Kim. The next one is Aiden showing off his back stroke at swimming!

We went to Beaumont to visit Grampa and Gramma, Uncle Tony and Auntie KT and while there we went to the NASA museum. They were doing a Star Wars exhibit and Aiden loved it. Laina got a NASA barbie and here she is playing with it with Auntie KT.

We also went to Colorado Springs to visit some of our friends. We had a wonderful time! The weather was beautiful! Wish we could have brought some of that down south with us! Here is a shot of Laina and Lyla and Aiden and Jack attempting (key word) to have sleep overs. Then a family shot on Father's Day in front of the lake by their house.

That's about all for now. The kid's start round 2 of swimming lessons on Monday and then we're off to Destin for a couple of weeks and then my Mom and I are taking the kid's to Disney World! Should be a blast!
